  10. Congratulations!  You have obtained the most powerful offline browsing and
  11. file-retrieving tool on the Internet.

  13. Part Swiss Army knife, part chainsaw, Teleport Pro is a fully automated,
  14. multithreaded, link-following, file-retrieving webspider.  It will retrieve
  15. all the files you want -- and only the files you want -- from any part of the
  16. Internet.  Teleport Pro can also

  40. Windows 95/NT.

  42. Please be sure to read the README.TXT file which will be extracted after
  43. Teleport Pro is installed.

  47. INSTALLING OVER PREVIOUS VERSIONS OF TELEPORT PRO
  48. =================================================

  50. No special steps required.  You do not need to uninstall a previous version
  51. of Teleport Pro if it is already installed on your systems.  Just follow the
  52. instructions below.

  54. If you want to keep your original version of Teleport Pro intact, move it to
  55. another directory, or install this version of Teleport Pro in a different
  56. directory.

  60. INSTALLING ON NTFS FILE SYSTEMS

  63. The Teleport Pro setup program may fail to run if executed from a drive that
  64. uses NTFS.  If this occurs, copy the installation files to a FAT drive, if
  65. available, and run them from there.

  69. INSTALLING TELEPORT PRO

  72. Teleport Pro is distributed as a self-extracting zip archive, called pro12.exe.
  73. To install it,
  74.  
  75.   1.  Create a temporary folder on your desktop.
  76.  
  77.   2.  Move the pro12.exe file into this temporary folder.
  78.  
  79.   3.  Double-click pro12.exe to run it.  It will extract the Teleport Pro
  80.       setup program, SETUP.EXE, and related setup files.
  81.  
  82.   4.  Double-click the SETUP.EXE file in your temporary folder, and follow its 
  83.       installation instructions.  NOTE:  Windows 95 may display an error
  84.       message stating that one or more files "have been replaced with older
  85.       versions by a program you just ran."  This is caused by SETUP, and is
  86.       normal.  Windows will repair the files later, and it will not affect
  87.       Teleport Pro's performance.

  89.   5.  Once setup is complete, you may delete the temporary folder and its 
  90.       contents from your desktop.

  92.   6.  NOTE:  The SETUP program will create a "bin" directory in the folder
  93.       where you install Teleport Pro.  This bin will contain two files,
  94.       CLASSES.ZIP and JAVAP.EXE.  These files are needed for Java applet
  95.       retrieval.  DO NOT UNZIP the CLASSES.ZIP file.

  99. UNINSTALLING TELEPORT PRO

  102. To uninstall Teleport Pro, simply run "Uninstall Teleport Pro" from your
  103. Start Menu.  The uninstall program will erase the program files, registry
  104. entries, and shortcuts related to Teleport Pro from your hard disk.  Your
  105. project files and any retrieved files will NOT be erased by the uninstaller.

  107. You can also run the Uninstaller using the Windows 95 "Add/Remove Programs"
  108. utility in the Control Panel.  Double-click the "Add/Remove Programs" icon
  109. in the Control Panel, then select "Teleport Pro" and press the "Add/Remove"
  110. button.

  112. Please note that uninstalling Teleport Pro will not delete files that you
  113. have retrieved using the program.
